Our participation in the international aerospace show MAKS-2019

From August 27th to September 1st, 2019, the 14th International Aviation and Space Airshow MAKS-2019 took place at Zhukovsky International Airport in Moscow, where our company was, as usual, presented in the Czech pavilion among other aircraft manufacturers.

During the air show our stand was visited by our current operators "Chabarovskie avialinii", "Orenburzhje", "Komiaviatrans", "Kamchatka Aviation Company", "Siberian Light Aviation, sro", "Aeroservis", "ZhezkazganAir" and other large aviation companies - potential customers with whom we have been negotiating for a long time.

As part of the air show, a panel discussion “REYS 2030. How is Czech-Russian cooperation in the field of aircraft industry developing?” was held by Czech and Russian companies in order to discuss the development of a new 40-seat aircraft based on the L-610 model, which was developed and tested by our company in the early 80s of the 20th century. The first flight of this machine took place on 28th December 1988. Certification process of this model, unfortunately, was suspended in 1999 and has not yet been renewed. The Russian operators, however, today face a need for an aircraft with higher passenger and cargo capacity and increased range, which could also be used for regional transportation, like L 410 aircraft. Works on the new aircraft project have already begun, and we hope that it will be successfully continued.

The Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Marian Piecha, who led the Czech delegation, examined passenger cabin and cockpit of the L 410 NG aircraft during the visit of our pavilion, trying on gloves and virtual reality glasses. It is the an innovation that our company introduced at this year's air show. By using special equipment installed at our booth everyone could visit the cabin of the aircraft, get acquainted with its various modifications, technical specifications and even sit in the pilot's seat.

Participation in MAKS was one of the most important events of this year for our company. Despite the fact that only three days were allotted for business meetings, during this time we managed to actively negotiate, meet our business partners, discuss current issues as well as outline new common goals with potential partners. We expect that the negotiations that took place during MAKS will result in the signing of new contracts with both our current and new customers.
