International Activities of Aircraft Industries, a.s. in 2020
In 2020, our company planned to participate in several major international events. In the spring Aircraft Industries planned to be presented at the FIDAE exhibition in Chile and KADEX in Kazakhstan, in the summer we wanted to take part in the INNOPROM trade fair and in the autumn in Airshow China. Unfortunately, the reality will be different due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first to announce is the cancellation of the FIDAE exhibition in Chile. This was followed by an announcement that KADEX will be rescheduled for next year. New dates for this exhibition were set for 10-13.6.2021. The decision to cancel the largest Russian industrial exhibition INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, where Italy was to become a partner country this year, was made at the end of March. Since China’s Airshow is scheduled for November, a formal decision has not yet been announced.

FIDAE
The FIDAE International Aerospace Exhibition has been held every two years in Santiago, Chile, since 1980. The first exhibition attracted a lot of attention – 32 companies from 13 countries were represented and the total number of visitors was around 115,000. FIDAE 2018 hosted 533 exhibitors from 59 countries. South America is one of the ideal areas for the operation of turboprop aircraft.
KADEX
The international defense and aviation industry fair KADEX was to be held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan. Since 2010, KADEX has evolved from a regional military exhibition to an important international platform for discussion and cooperation in developing the latest technologies. In 2018 there were 245 companies from 47 countries exhibited at the fair. In 2020, 350 companies from over 35 countries were expected to participate.
INNOPROM
The 11th INNOPROM exhibition had to take place in Yekaterinburg (Russia) from the 7th to 10th of July 2020. The main theme for this year’s fair was Flexible Manufacturing («Гибкое производство») and Italy was chosen as the partner country. Companies from 22 countries and 60 Russian regions declared their participation in the fair. More than 43,000 professionals, industry representatives and supply companies visit the exhibition every year. INNOPROM is the main industrial, trade and export platform for the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Ural region has always been the engine of Russian industry, so INNOPROM, as the most important trade show, serves as a platform where the foundations of industrial policy not only of the region but of the whole state are laid.
AIRSHOW CHINA 2020
Between 10th and 15th of November, 2020, Aircraft Industries was supposed to take part in the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China). It is the only one international air show approved by the Chinese central government and supported by representatives of the Chinese aviation industry. The airshow takes place in Zhuhai, Guangdong, every two years. Since 1996 Airshow China has been successfully held for 12 times. China, where our aircraft can fill a free market segment, is interesting to our company, because there are large remote or mountainous areas where land transport is complicated due to geographical conditions and the underdeveloped road network. At the same time, there are small local airports, suitable for the operation of our planes, which are able to operate on short runways. In 2018, 770 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions were represented at Airshow China. The Air Fair attracted over 400,000 visitors.
