Two aircraft for the Military Training Institute in Aktobe

On December 1, 2023, two L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft left our production in Kunovice, destined for the military training institute in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. These two aircraft undertook a cross-country flight through Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan before finally landed at Aktobe airport.

Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, the aircraft received a warm welcome. The event was attended by local politicians, military personnel, and member of the media. Among the guests of honour was Colonel Nildibayev, Chief Engineer of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of Kazakhstan, who visited several OMNIPOL Group facilities in the Czech Republic at the end of September.

The aircraft will be used to train military transport and cargo pilots. As previously stated by Aircraft Industries Commercial Director Tomas Novak, we expect to operate more aircraft in the Central Asian country over time. "We have civilian operators in Kazakhstan who are satisfied with our L 410 aircraft. They are replacing old Russian aircraft with western technology," he believes.

The basic characteristics of the L 410, such as capacity for 19 passengers or carrying 1.7 tonnes of cargo, provide significant advantages for operations in the country. The ability to take off and land on short and unpaved runways increases flexibility and accessibility in difficult terrain. In addition, the aircraft are designed to withstand the extreme temperatures typical of Kazakhstan's harsh climate. We are confident that the new aircraft will effectively meet the needs of Kazakhstan!
